Thu 23rd Jul 2026 to Sat 25th Jul 2026, various times

Everyman Youth Theatre celebrates its 30th birthday this year.  We provide a variety of quality performances for young people passionate about acting and performance, in a variety of performance spaces.  We work collaboratively with young people 11 to 19, to create work through improvisation, script writing and text, exploring theatre for one, immersive theatre, musical comedies and Shakespeare. We welcome new members throughout the year.

Everyman has a thriving youth theatre and encourages the youth members to integrate in its main season projects as well as in specific youth productions, including: Blue Electric Wind, Hearts and Marxist in Heaven as part of the National Theatre Connections project, a youth production of Shakespeare”s Richard II, Macbeth, Midsummer Nights Dream, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet and Henry V – performed in various spaces including Sophia Gardens Open Air Festival, Tredegar House, Willow Globe and The RSC Dell.  They have created new work including a comedy Christmas caper based on the story of Sherlock Holmes written by one of our members at Chapter Arts Centre.  Theatre for One Ghostly Tales at Insole Court, Lord Mayors Mansion, St Johns Church and Llanover Hall with a new theatre for one historical piece in the new year.  Since September the Youth Theatre have already produced a comedy fundraiser for one of our ex company members – Comedy Improvisation Nights, performed a THEATRE FOR ONE at Insole Court. This year they just completed a run of NT Connections play Britney’s Lock, after having been selected to perform YOU 2.0 at Bristol Old Vic and The National Theatre last summer 2025. This has been the second opportunity to perform at the UK’s prestigious theatre having been selected with their production of NT Connections piece Superglue written by Tim Crouch in 2022.   They will be performing King Lear at The Willow Globe in late July, followed by a comedy night, and our next round of LAMDA examinations. Several members have won places this September at Guildhall for Acting, another for Lighting Design, and one member has won a place at the RWCMD for the undergraduate course in Stage Design.
