Clubnight: Speech Night

Richard Jones presents a night of speeches.

Please bring along a speech and perform it! It should be an extract of a real-life speech. The majority of these will be famous political speeches from history (e.g Martin Luther King, Winston Churchill, Margaret Thatcher etc) but you could also do a famous Oscar acceptance speech or any type of speech that has been performed before (if you can find the transcipt). You could also do a speech from a film (eg ‘Braveheart’, ‘The King’s Speech’).

There should be a big variety to choose from and there is plenty available on the Internet, suggested sources below….

Alternatively, a selection of speeches will be available on the night for you to perform.

Speeches must not exceed 4 minutes in length, so please perform an extract if the whole speech is too long.
