Clubnight: Melting Pot – ‘Making Peace with those Bloody Wimmin!’ – a workshop with Andy Kempe

This workshop will provide an overview of Lucy Kirkwood’s play ‘Boody Wimmin’ and explore how the play’s two acts mirror each other in both structure and themes. Focussing on the Greenham Peace women and more recent environmental activism, the play is an amusing yet punchy look at the business of protesting: something I bet we’ve all done in one way or another, as we shall see!

The workshop will be led by Andy Kempe, Emeritus Professor of Drama Education, University of Reading. When he’s not playing a policeman in plays set on Greenham Common he give talks about the amazing history of the place.
