This remarkable play by Polly Teale, evokes the real and imagined worlds of the Brontës, as their fictional characters come to haunt their creators. It explores the collision of drab domesticity and unfettered, soaring imagination, showing us real and internal worlds at once. We’re invited to consider how it was possible for these obscured women to produce such extraordinary work, and explores and celebrates the reasons why we’re still so drawn to this family, their stories and characters.
